Thank You!!!
Hi All,
First off – a very good season. A very fun season. I wanted to tell you all how much fun I had this year and how much I enjoyed getting to know your boys. You should be very proud of them – and they should be proud of themselves! I cannot say enough good things about how they responded after a slow start (0-3) to come-on and go 4-1 in their last 5 games. They grew immensely as football players – and I sincerely hope - as young men!
Thank you for all you did throughout the season to support the boys. If your son had not played before, you and the boys found out that it is a huge commitment. We couldn’t have done as well as we did if it wasn’t for your support.
A BIG THANK YOU to all the parents that made this miserable weather bearable today for the boys. Canopies, heaters, hot cider, hot chocolate, etc. etc. A special thank you to Tess & Anna for their efforts today and throughout the season. If I’m leaving anyone out (and I’m sure that I am) – thank you..
Anna, I have no idea what is going on around the banquet – or even how we are doing with fundraising. My concentration has been elsewhere. Please tell us what you need and how we can help.
I’m in mourning over the loss and the end of the season… But already looking forward to building upon our success for next year.
Head up, ALL OUT! Go Seahawks!

Clinton 27 VS Wash Terrace 0 (GAME 6) WIN!!!!!
It was a windy/rainy/sunny day during the whole game! At the start we seemed kind of slow but as the second quarter came along, we picked up the tempo and start to play hard!!! We did real good at our extra point plays and our defense played real good once again giving the Terrace no points!. Great job D!!! Now that is 3 wins straight fro the Seahawks. One more game left for the season and it will be against Syracuse Black. This is a must win for us to get into the playoffs. Good luck and Go Seahawks!!!

Clinton 19 VS Roy B 0 (GAME 5) WIN!!!!
Congrats Seahawks!! We got another WIN!!! That's 2 straight wins for us. Our offense came right out the gate and score 3 TDs in the first half. The Seahawk DEFENSE did great again and allowed Roy B to zero points! Great work! We did have some injuries that day but our players stepped up and made great plays. Great catches and great runs all around!
2 more games to go and we need to win all of them. Our next game will be against Wash Terrace. Let's have a great week of practice and get win number 3 this Saturday! Go Seahawks!!

Parent Update
Hi All,
We were REALLY pleased with how the boys performed in their first day of hitting yesterday. I’m sure there are a few with bumps and bruises. They hit hard! If they could take a hit and get up, they did well yesterday. There are a few really big hitters on this team. And no one stayed on the ground – that’s some tough kids!
Four tackling keys (for you to work on form-tackling with your boys at home):
1- Head-up (you can’t hit what you can’t see. And just slightly less important ;) – they can break their necks if they put their heads down)
2- Butt-down (low enough that the head is “numbers” high on the person they are tackling)
3- Stay on your feet (if you run into someone and drive through them, they will naturally fall. ~70% of the time, leaving your feet means that you will not make the tackle)
4- It hurts less when you hit hard (if you shy-away from the hit, it will hurt more)
Homework assignments:
- The backs & receivers need to memorize the holes & the passing tree. It is hard to have them run patterns or run the ball if they don’t know where to go!
- The Lineman need to memorize the holes. I will be sending home some simplified blocking rules for them. They should go over this and memorize their assignments.
Day 6 Practice

We now begin practicing with PADS! The hits are now going to be coming!! We also started to do Tackling Stations!! Great job guys and make sure you make your tackles!! We should be getting into the DEFENSE part of things this week as well. Also Coach Eric has returned to the field after spending some time in the desert!! Another hot day but another great practice!! Go Seahawks!! ALL OUT!!!!!!
